Sega has confirmed that hackers have stolen personal data of the users of its system of Our Pass, which is designed to be members of the community information on upcoming games editor
Data obtained from the system include birth dates, addresses, e-mail address and password.
They said in an e-mail to the members: "as you know, our pass system is offline since yesterday, Thursday 16 of June."
"The last 24 hours, we have determined that illegal entry to our database of our Pass."

"We have our secure consumer data immediately and isolate the location of the violation of the appropriate measures."We have started an investigation into the extent of the violation of our public systems.
"We have found that a subset of members move from ours, e-mail addresses, dates of birth and encrypted passwords were obtained". None of the passwords that were acquired, are stored as plain text.
"Please note that all personal information of payment was rescued by them when we suppliers, which means that your payment information was not threatened by these intruders use."
